Singer's rep denies that the guys were bullied by her bouncers and warns Lady Gaga she might be next on the boy band's hit list.
By Jocelyn Vena

It seems that The Wanted are on Britney Spears' "Most Wanted" list.

Just one day after the boy band made headlines for a claim they made about touring with the pop star, her rep has released a statement shutting down their allegations.

It all started Monday with a New York radio station interview. The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran dished about hitting the road with Spears back in November 2011, claiming, "I was in the hallway with my tour manager. Basically, we were looking with a laptop, trying to get WiFi ... facing the middle of the hallway. [Britney's] bouncers came down with her and told us to face the wall ... We turned around and I faced a wall for about 10 seconds until she got really far away."

Spears' camp, it seems, isn't taking their allegations lightly. In a statement to MTV News, her rep shut down the boy bander's account of the events. "What's even more interesting than the false allegations they made is the fact that they have claimed to be picked on by two female pop stars in just a few days," the rep said. "Look out, Lady Gaga — there are still three days left this week."

Well, Brit's camp should take note that one of the guys from the Wanted, in the same interview, attempted to do some damage control. Jay McGuiness added, "But, honestly, when we actually met her person to person, she was so down to earth. You can tell she's a total Southern girl, and Nathan [Sykes], when he was a kid, won a singing competition. She was one of the judges or something, and she gave him a kiss. It was one of his first kisses as a kid. So, he got to meet her again and support her."

That warmer sentiment was one they also shared with MTV News just a week ago, when they sat down with us to premiere their "Chasing the Sun" video. "She's lovely as well. We haven't really met people who aren't very nice, and Britney was just very, very nice," Sykes said of his teen dream. "She was kind of what you'd expect her to be: very happy and American." And, Parker said even though her bodyguards were kind of scary, Britney had "lovely teeth."

It wasn't the first time the guys publicly criticized an experience with a female pop star. Although they've since apologized for it (sort of), Tom Parker had said that when they stopped by "The Voice," Christina Aguilera was "
a total bitch." "She might not be a bitch in real life, but to us, she was a total bitch. She just sat there and didn't speak to us. Wouldn't even look at us."

Lynn announced during a show Thursday that she intends to bring 'Coal Miner's Daughter' to the stage, with Deschanel to star.

Zooey Deschanel has already tackled movies, television, music, bangs, "crafternoons" and commercials in which she needs a robotic assistant to tell her whether or not it's raining, and now, it looks like she's set to take on Broadway, too.
During a Thursday night Grand Ole Opry show at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium, country legend Loretta Lynn announced that she intended to bring her life story to the Great White Way, and that she had pegged Deschanel to play her in the production. Lynn then invited the actress onto the stage to sing her iconic (and autobiographic) hit "Coal Miner's Daughter." Obviously honored, Deschanel told the audience that Lynn was her "hero."
"Coal Miner's Daughter," which tells the story of Lynn's childhood in rural Kentucky, was a #1 hit for the singer in 1970, and would go on to be the title of her best-selling 1976 autobiography. In 1980, the book was made into a movie starring Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones, which earned Spacek a Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of the singer.
Lynn told the Opry crowd that the Broadway adaptation would carry the same title, and (of course) would be a musical. There's no word on just when the production would hit the stage, and a rep for Deschanel did not respond to MTV News' request for comment at press time.
Deschanel currently stars in Fox's breakout hit "New Girl," and has been making music for years, most notably as one half of She & Him (along with M. Ward). The duo released their third album, A Very She & Him Christmas, late last year.
Do you think Zooey Deschanel is a good fit for the role of Loretta Lynn? Let us know what you think in the comments!

By Kara Warner

In anticipation of the epic season premiere of "Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew," MTV has been rolling out a few very extra special details via Twitter, the biggest one being that tonight's premiere will feature performances set to our favorite songs from pop princess Britney Spears.

Spears tweeted out the good news herself. "Make sure you tune into #ABDC tonight on @MTV at 10/9C!" she wrote. "Heard they're closing show with Womanizer...CAN NOT WAIT to see what these crews do."

This season, dubbed "Return of the Superstars," will feature nine all-new hip-hop dance crews and one returning past crew, a fan favorite from season two, Fanny Pak.

"This is not Fanny Pak, it's Back Pack," joked judge J.C. Chasez. "It's a huge group now. When I saw Fanny Pak I think there were five members and now there are like eight or nine. I'm excited though because what I loved about Fanny Pak on the season they were on is that they don't rely strictly on their athleticism as dancers. They really work into the theme, they listen to what the music is saying."

"I love Fanny Pak," fellow judge Lil' Mama said. "I think that they're fantastic as a crew, and when you're alumni and have been through the ropes you know what to expect, it gets tougher as you go along so and people bring their A-game, so we're hoping they can last through to the end because they're a good crew."

This is the first time in the series' history a crew from a prior season will return to compete for the title. In addition, each episode will feature a different theme built around a popular celebrity artist, including Madonna, Rihanna, Pitbull, David Guetta, Flo Rida and LMFAO.

Don't miss the season-seven premiere of "America's Best Dance Crew," airing Wednesday, April 11, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV! Singer discusses being bullied as a child and her plan not to speak to the media 'for a very long time' on 'Oprah's Next Chapter.'
By Jocelyn Vena

Lady Gaga confessed she wants to have enough children to form a "soccer team" when she sat down with talk show maven Oprah Winfrey for "Oprah's Next Chapter." In the intimate chat, which took place at Gaga's childhood home in New York City, the never-press-shy Gaga made another big announcement.

"Other than this interview, Oprah, I don't intend to speak to anyone for a very long time. I have to shut out the noise," Mother Monster told Winfrey, according to Gossip Cop. "The latest thing I do is I don't read a damn thing. No press, no television. If my mom calls and says, 'Did you hear about?' I don't want to know nothing about anything that is going on ... I shut it all off."

Gaga's mother was on hand for parts of the interview, sharing that in Gaga's early days, her father thought she had a "screw loose" while she was performing at downtown New York nightclubs in her bra while lighting hairspray on fire. The superstar added that there's one thing about her current act that her mother isn't a big fan of.

"She doesn't like when I swear," Gaga said, with her mother adding, "You're effective without it."

Another part of the candid chat also focused on Gaga's youth, during which she said she was frequently bullied. "There really is no difference between the bully and the victim," she said. "I would like to do a psychological autopsy on as many bullies and victims as possible ... How do we understand what breeds hatred, what breeds anger?" She added that despite all "all the praise you receive, something inside of you is scarred by those experiences. ... Sometimes I feel worthless." Parts of the special were also filmed at Harvard University last month.

The singer and the talk show host were on hand at the prestigious college to launch Gaga's Born This Way Foundation.

"I just have one thing to say before we get started: We got Oprah! ... Thank you from all of us — from my entire team, from my mother, from the bottom of the hearts of so many people who believe in what we're doing today," Gaga said at the launch. She explained that the foundation seeks to empower the youth of America, adding, "How can we inspire young people to know they have the power to be brave?"
